Staying Healthy in NYC (part 1)

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle in New York City is a lot easier than you think. I would love to share some routines and experiences that kept me feeling vibrant and healthy while I was in Midtown Manhattan.

First, pack some extra essential necessities that will serve to be valuable assets during your stay. I recommended TWO pairs of comfortable walking shoes, Clarisonic Pedi-Buff, and Sine Everything Oil.

I feel it is an advantage to walk everywhere while you are visiting The Big Apple for many reasons. First of all it is more economical, secondly it is a great source of exercise, finally you will get to see more of the city at your pace. I averaged twelve miles a day while burning 850 calories from walking alone. Woo-hoo! Talking about feeling like you accomplished something, I certainly did! Now with this extra walking comes the need to pay more attention to your feet. Rotating your shoes allows them to fully dry from any absorbed perspiration and resume their appropriate shape. This way your shoes can better take care of your feet. Two shoes in the suitcase and a foot exfoliant is highly recommended.

An amazing foot exfoliant to pack is Clarisonic Pedi-Buff. This is my goto product to maintain soft feet. It has a trio of exfoliants including lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy fruit acid blend, and apricot seed. Prior to showering at night, scrub each foot with a dime size of product for a minute each. Your feelt willl feel refreshed, light, and soft. This product is well worth the space it takes up in your suitcase.

Finally Sine Everything Oil is a must! This is a clean, fresh, 100% vegan oil that is appropriate for hair, body, and feet! It combines vetiver, lavender, neroli, and cedarwood for a unique one of a kind fragrance. This product is available for purchase at sinequanonsalons.com. This oil comes packaged in glass. I suggest placing the bottle in a plastic bag and then wrapping it in a sock for protcetion. I love the fact that this small bottle has so many uses freeing up my suitcase for other items.

I sincerely hope that these tips help you out in your urban travel adventures! Stay tuned for part 2 of a four part series.

Best of Everything
