To tone or not to tone? That is the question!

Toning is traditionally done after cleansing. It preps the skin in a various ways. Depending on your toner this could possibly include mild exfoliation, a double cleanse process, adding hydration, removing excess oil, minimizing pores, decreasing the appearance of fine lines, and brightening the skin. Some people prefer to skip the toning process over a

pre-cleanse such as micellar water, cleansing oils, cleansing balms, and pre-moistened cleansing wipes. It is a matter of personal preference and how many steps you want your skincare regimen. I have two favorite toners. PCA's Nutrient Toner which contains vitamins, amino acids, and enzymes that exfoliate the skin and promote a healthy glow. Beauty Counter's All Bright Triple Acid AHA toner is excellent for refining pores, brightening, resurfacing, and purifying the skin! Currently my favorite facial cleansing towelette is Burt Bees 3 in 1 micellar facial towelette. It is gentle on the skin, hydrates, and does an excellent job reaming makeup including mascara. A good go to for cleansing oils and balms is Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil and Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm by Beauty Counter. PCA's Daily Cleansing Oil is Superb!
